The Ferrari Portofino Experience

In November 2018, THE COLLECTION Ferrari hosted Ferrari enthusiasts and clients to experience the latest and greatest, the Ferrari Portofino. Guests were welcome to test drive the newest vehicle at either THE COLLECTION Ferrari or Ferrari of Miami. This was a two-day event in which the kick-off party took place at the brand new 21,000 square foot dealership located in the center of downtown Miami, FL.

After experiencing what it feels like to be behind the wheel of the Ferrari Portofino, guests were invited back to THE COLLECTION Ferrari for refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. The second day of the event included exciting test drives down the beautiful streets of Coral Gables. The Ferrari Portofino jumps from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 3.5 seconds. The design of this Ferrari is sleek and clean, making it a top contender of its class.

The Greatest Car Scenes in Film

Some of the greatest movies of all time are made even greater because of the cars showcased in the films. The list of films with unforgettable car chases is never ending, making it difficult to narrow down some of the best car scenes in films. Ken Gorin, THE COLLECTION President and CEO was able to pick a few of his favorite movie cars of all time.

Audi

Seen in Marvel’s Iron Man movies, Tony Stark’s vehicle of choice is the Audi R8. Tony Stark, a highly intelligent and successful man in the technology industry, can be seen driving the R8 at high speeds to save the world. In the film, the Audi R8 is fast, furious and luxurious.

McLaren

Next up is the McLaren MP4-12C, featured in one of the most famous and successful movie franchises of all time, The Fast and the Furious. If you are a car enthusiast, chances are you’ve seen all of the films and you dream about being able to get behind of the wheel of every single sports car used in the films. This particular McLaren was used in the seventh Fast and Furious and was driven by actress Michelle Williams.

Maserati

Last but not least, is the 1980 Maserati Quattroporte III featured in The Godfather III film. Car enthusiasts all over the world instantly fell in love with this model and the Quattroporte is now the most popular Maserati model used in movies today.

Ferrari Drive & Dine Event

This past August, THE COLLECTION Ferrari and Ferrari of Miami teamed up to participate in the Ferrari Drive & Dine to Strada in the Grove. The exciting event started at Ken Gorin’s location in Coral Gables, THE COLLECTION Ferrari, where guests enjoyed light refreshments. Ferrari enthusiasts admired the latest Ferrari models available at THE COLLECTION, and shared their common interest in the more than 70 year old Italian sports car manufacturer.

The Ferrari rally then moved to Strada in the Grove where clients’ names were displayed on tables held by miniature Ferrari models. There, clients enjoyed only the best Italian foods and continued conversation about their admiration of Ferrari. The Strada in the Grove owner and manager also happens to be an owner of a Ferrari, making this the perfect location to end this wonderful drive & dine event.

THE COLLECTION Launches the Jaguar E-Pace

THE COLLECTION’s showroom was turned into a Disco Wonderland on Friday, March 23^rd as the new Jaguar E-Pace was unveiled to guests of the dealership. One of the newest members of the Jaguar lineup, the Jaguar E-Pace did not disappoint. Here at Ken Gorin’s THE COLLECTION, everything isn’t always look but don’t touch. In fact, guests were able to sit inside and experience the glimmering vehicle firsthand. For the guests who fell in love with this beauty, they were able to put their name on a list to get to test drive the Jaguar the following day. The Jaguar E-Pace was the center of attention for the entire night, with a sparkling disco ball hanging from above, setting the feel of the night.

The design of the Jaguar E-Pace is both powerful and family-friendly. Porsche is Worth its Weight in Gold

The highly anticipated Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series made its debut at THE COLLECTION dealership in Miami. Being one of Porsche’s sixteen Exclusive Manufaktur Dealers, THE COLLECTION was given the privilege of being among the first to unveil the posh Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series. Onlookers were able to get a first glimpse of this car with Ken Gorin, THE COLLECTION CEO.

This machine has 607 horsepower with a 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds with the Sport Chrono driving mode engaged. This car was built for exhilarating speed, topping out at 205 mph. Compared to the normal Turbo S cars, this series can go 0-124 mph in just 9.6 seconds shedding a whole 0.3 seconds off. Along with its extreme power and a peak torque output of 553lb-ft, the Turbo S Exclusive Series also comes built with Porsche’s PDK seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Every inch of this car is luxury, with SportDesign exterior mirror upper trims in carbon fiber—including carbon fiber window triangles. The inside is also equipped with an interior carbon fiber kit along with two stripes of Golden Yellow running across the cabin that match the headrest and headliner design. For those who want to stand out, the “exclusive” Golden Yellow Metallic paint will be the perfect exterior color choice and for those who are not as flashy, other select exterior colors will be available as well.

Exclusive on the McLaren Velocity 720s

Power and intensity–how else could you describe the McLaren Velocity 720s? McLaren aficionados were able to behold this machine in late October of 2017. Upon entering the McLaren showroom, enthusiasts were able to view its unique paint job which totaled 300 hours to complete. The upper and front panels are a Nerello Red which fades into a Volcano Red for the sides and back of the car.

This new McLaren is equipped with metallic bronze alloy wheels and a ton of carbon fiber. From the gloss carbon fiber rear deck vent to the gloss carbon fiber service cover, carbon and luxury are all over this machine. This model has a ton of power, clocking in at 710 horsepower and a 0-60mph time of 2.7 seconds. This McLaren has a top speed of 212 mph. The minds behind this vehicle truly engineered a masterpiece.

2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

The one-of-a-kind Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is truly a Porsche in a league of its own. Not quite a hatchback, not quite a sedan, not quite a sport utility vehicle, the Sport Turismo exemplifies what it means to be unique. There are five models available: the Panamera 4 Sport Turismo, Panamera 4S Sport Turismo, Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo, and the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo.
